White House Tour

We had the opportunity to go to the White House this year. Our friends have some connections so we were able to get some of the much coveted tickets. The house was gorgeous and the Christmas decorations were amazing. We had forgotten Parker's socks at home so we had to race to the Macy's in downtown D.C. to buy some for him. The children's section in the store was on the 4th floor, of course, but we eventually got some and made it on time to get into our tour.

It was kind of hard to take in everything when we were hurried along by the kids, but it was still fun. The theme for the decorations this year was red white and blue and it was fun to see what they came up with.

This house is actually made of gingerbread and covered in white chocolate. Such a shame that it is just decoration and will be thrown away after Christmas. There were different groups of musicians playing throughout, which added a lot to the experience. We had a great time!

Above is our little family and to the right is Parker with his good friend KennaDee.
