Can you believe it??? Parker is already 4 years old. We had an awesome party to celebrate. Lightning McQueen the race car is one of Parker's favorite things right now so that was the theme of the party. First they painted race cars made of plaster. The paint jobs started out really bright and vibrant. They gradually became more and more gray as all the colors got mixed together. Gotta love 3, 4, and 5 year olds doing crafts! We also made "smocks" out of kitchen garbage bags- don't they look stylin'!
The next portion of our party extravaganza was the race car obstacle course. The kids had tons of fun squeezing through caution tape, racing around trees and balancing on boards in order to get to the finish line.
We finished the afternoon off with a fantastic Lightning McQueen cake and some other snacks. It is actually a miracle that the cake is still intact as Makenna pulled it out of the fridge the day before and it crashed on the floor. It is a good thing that the cake was so solid because it just needed a little bit of detail touch-up. That was a close one!
Parker got several fun gifts from his friends and family. One of his favorites was a dragon shooter. You just load the dragon, pull the trigger, and watch the dragon fly across the room.
Parker is a very social, spunky and loving boy and we are having a blast watching him grow up.
